How to Make
Instructions are printed on the back of each mix pouch.
You'll need to add:
- Milk or plant-based milk
- Vegetable oil or melted butter
How to make:
- Empty the mix into a microwave-safe mug.
- Add your milk and oil. Stir until smooth.
- Microwave on high until puffed and just set on top - usually 75-90 seconds. Add a few extra seconds if needed.
- Let it cool for a minute or two.
- Stir your frosting packet with a splash of milk or water until smooth, then spread on top.
- Add sprinkles, pop the confetti popper, and enjoy!

Birthday Cake Mix: Unbleached all-purpose flour, sugar, sprinkles (sugar, palm kernel and palm oil, corn starch, colored with beet juice, vegetable juice, annatto extract, spirulina extract, turmeric, beta-carotene, paprika oleoresin, sunflower lecithin, maltodextrin, carnauba wax, cellulose gum), baking powder (sodium acid pyrophosphate, sodium bicarbonate, cornstarch), salt, vanilla powder.
Vanilla Frosting: Powdered sugar (sugar, cornstarch), whole milk powder, butter powder (butter [cream, salt], nonfat dry milk), vanilla powder, salt.

Is the frosting included?
Yes - the vanilla frosting comes as a dry mix inside the main pouch in its own smaller packet. Just stir it with a splash of milk or water when you're ready. No refrigeration needed.
How do I find the right cook time for my microwave?
Start at the lower end of the suggested time and add 5-10 seconds at a time until the center is just set with no wet patches. Every microwave runs a little differently, so checking as you go is the best approach.
How long do the mixes keep?
All of our mixes - including the frosting and sprinkle packets - are shelf stable for up to 6 months when stored in a cool, dry place.
Is this gluten free or vegan?
We don't currently offer gluten free options, but we're working on it! The birthday cake mix is dairy free and vegan. The vanilla frosting does contain dairy.
